about me

Amrit Tamang is a leading beverage consultant and bartender from Kathmandu, Nepal, known for his creative approach to mixology and bar culture development. He is also one of  the founders of The Mixology Room, Nepal's first bar school with a dedicated lab and library, now with branches in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

With global experience from award-winning bars in Australia like Maybe Frank and Maybe Sammy, Amrit has since returned to Nepal and consulted for over 5 high-profile venues, including Sips Cocktails, Maakara Restaurant, Me So Hot , XO Nightclub, and Mezze by Roadhouse. He specializes in bar concept design, menu engineering, and team training, significantly increasing revenue and customer satisfaction for his clients.

He previously served as Beverage Director at 33 West Sky bar, Creative Head at Shangrila Spirits (Nepal’s largest Bacardi importer), and Head Bartender at Pauline’s Rooftop Bar.

Amrit is also the Brand Ambassador in Nepal for Hapusa Gin, Greater Than Gin, and Luxardo. His influence extends to mixology judging roles and media features in The Kathmandu Post, Living Magazine, and Nepal News.
